Pablo Lafuente on Interpellation

This Friday at Artists Space in New York, Afterall’s very own Pablo Lafuente presents a lecture on interpellation, in the context of the work of Hilary Lloyd. Lafuente’s lecture will look at the relationships between pleasure and the notion of interpellation, or the response of a subject’s encounter with ideology.

Pablo Lafuente is a writer and curator, editor of the One Work book series, co-editor of Afterall journal and course leader on a new postgraduate research program in Exhibition Histories. He is also an associate curator at Office for Contemporary Art in Oslo, and co-curated Norway’s representation in the 54th Venice Biennale in 2011.
