Exhibition Histories Talks: Hou Hanru
We are pleased to announce the ninth in our series of talks analysing and contextualising exhibitions through the personal accounts of the curators responsible, co-organised with Whitechapel Gallery, London.
On 21 May 2015 Hou Hanru will be in conversation with Afterall’s Lucy Steeds to discuss ‘Cities on the Move’ (1997–2000), co-curated with Hans Ulrich Obrist, and some of his related curatorial projects. From the same inaugural year, ‘Parisien(ne)s’ at Camden Arts Centre, London and ‘Hong Kong, etc.’, which formed part of the 2nd Johannesburg Biennale, will be considered and, from five years later, ‘P_A_U_S_E’ co-curated with Charles Esche and Sung Wan Kyung for the 4th Gwangju Biennale in 2002.
