The British Council Exchange Programme is designed to build up connections between museums, cultural institutions and creative universities in Brazil and the United Kingdom. Under this scheme, MASP and Afterall have started a new collaboration.
2018 marks the twentieth anniversary of Afterall. Founded in 1998 as a journal of art, context and enquiry, Afterall’s mission remains today much as it began: to discuss the work of contemporary artists and relate their ambitions to a wider social, political and philosophical framework.
Afterall Publishing Director Caroline Woodley will be in conversation with André Mesquita of MASP, with an introduction by Jeremy Till, Head of Central Saint Martins and Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University of the Arts London; Adriano Pedrosa, Artistic Director of MASP; and Martin Dowle, Director, British Council in Brazil.
