Afterall Journal Issue 48 Launch

To celebrate the launch of Afterall journal issue 48, ‘Looking Back, Looking Forward: 20 Years of Afterall’, Afterall Directors Charles Esche and Mark Lewis will be joined by journal editor Ute Meta Bauer and contributing editor Charles Stankievech to discuss two decades of Afterall and the role publishing plays in their curatorial and artistic practices.

Charles Esche is Director of Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven; Professor of contemporary art and curating at Central Saint Martins, London and Co-Director of Afterall Journal and Books. He teaches on the Exhibition Studies MRes course at CSM, and at Jan van Eyck Academie, Maastricht.

Mark Lewis is an artist, Professor of art at Central Saint Martins and Co-Director of Afterall Journal and Books.

Ute Meta Bauer is the Founding Director of Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Centre for Contemporary Art (CCA) in Singapore; Professor of art at NTU’s School of Art, Media, and Design and Editor of Afterall Journal.

Charles Stankievech is an artist, the Director of Visual Studies in the Daniels Faculty at the University of Toronto, and a Contributing Editor of Afterall Journal.
