Afterall Film Club: Susan Hiller
We are pleased to announce the ninth meeting of Afterall Film Club on Thursday 7 November 2013. Susan Hiller will introduce a film of her choice, which will be discussed following its full screening.
Susan Hiller is known for her diverse artistic practice which encompasses participatory works, archival installations, multi-screen videos and audio; drawing upon sources as diverse as dreams, postcards, Punch & Judy shows, automatic writing, horror movies, UFO sightings and narratives of ‘near death’ experiences. In an interview with Sarah Lowndes for Afterall she states: ‘I don’t believe there’s a difference between rational and irrational; I try not to get into these dualisms.’
Afterall Film Club is free and takes place seven times a year at Central Saint Martins. The club has been chaired by Laura Mulvey, Dexter Dalwood, Mark Leckey, John Stezaker, Nina Power, Anne Tallentire, Stuart Brisley and Victor Burgin.
