Afterall Film Club: Anne Tallentire
We are pleased to announce the sixth meeting of Afterall Film Club on Thursday 28 February 2013. Anne Tallentire will introduce a film of her choice, which will be discussed following its full screening.
Anne Tallentire investigates how institutional, political and social systems might produce a peripatetic artistic practice. Utilising installation, performance and moving image, her work often forms itself on the street, from filming workers in the city of London to locating materials that are then used in a gallery space. In an interview for Afterall Online Tallentire describes it, ‘ I set about investigating an overlooked performance of the material world. The frame is used here as a speculative device or tool, in terms of an investigation of limits. ’
Afterall Film Club is free and takes place eight times a year at Central Saint Martins. The club has been chaired by Laura Mulvey, Dexter Dalwood, Mark Leckey, John Stezaker and Nina Power. Upcoming clubs will be chaired by Stuart Brisley and Victor Burgin.
To join the club and book a place email filmclub@afterall.org. On receipt you will be sent a confirmation email with access details.
