Thoughts on Curatorial Practices in the Decolonial Turn
In collaboration with Museu de Arte de São Paulo we have been building a critical forum for cultural theorists, curators and artists to raise questions and formulate proposals for the reinterpretation of exhibitions and museum collections in non-canonical ways. In this essay, curator and researcher Ivan Muñiz-Reed thinks through the decolonial strategies of contemporary museums, tracing the genealogy and intellectual history of decoloniality as an ethico-political, epistemic project.
