Art historian and curator Lotte Arndt exmanines he 7th edition of the Lubumbashi Biennale.  Titled ‘Toxicity’, the biennale explores how artists address extractivist processes, environmental issues, and social transformations caused by colonial, industrial mining, emphasising resistance, collaboration, and the intertwining of local and global perspectives.
