Mi You looks at the trajectory of Kazakh artist Askhat Akhmedyarov, from his participation in performances by the Kyzyl Tractor collective exploring Central Asian heritage, through his independent practice in the early 2000s focused on sculptural works and environmental activism in Astana, to his engagement with questions of politics, citizenship, and decoloniality within the Eurasian sphere.
